Capmany is compact yet rich in character: an Alt Empordà village framed by vineyards, olive groves, and cork-oak forests, with remnants of its medieval walls, the Church of Santa Àgata (12th–13th centuries), and the Chapel of Sant Sebastià (16th century). Waymarked walking routes include a notable megalithic circuit—dolmens and menhirs such as Pedra Oscil·lant, Verneda, Quer Afumat, and Comanera—testifying to ancient roots. Wine culture stands out here, with DO Empordà estates, the Museu de les Aixetes in Oliveda, and the Santamaria winery museum.
With a dry Mediterranean climate often swept by the tramuntana, Capmany offers character properties: restored farmhouses (masies), renovated village houses, rural estates, and buildable plots among the vines.
