Corçà comprises the main village plus Casavells, Cassà de Pelràs and Matajudaica, with the hamlets of Anyells and Planils. First recorded in 878 (Quartianum/Quertiano), it showcases strong heritage: the Sant Julià i Santa Basilissa parish (attested 1065; 18th-century church over a 12th–13th-century Romanesque temple), town walls and castle (reinforced in 1394; surviving stretch at Plaça del Rebot and partial towers on carrer Sant Sebastià), the Romanesque Santa Cristina hermitage (BCIL) and Sant Sebastià chapel (18th c.).
Corçà blends agriculture (Casavells, Matajudaica) with a commercial/cultural hub in the historic centre—stone houses, lanes and medieval fabric.
