Camallera, the municipal centre of Saus–Camallera i Llampaies, concentrates town hall and services in a hilltop historic core overlooking the basin of the former Camallera lake—drained in the late 19th century with the arrival of the railway, creating highly productive farmland. By the church stand four notable manor houses (can Ferrer Pagès, can Feliu, can Ferrer Fàbrega, can Geli). Expansion followed the Carrer Nou (18th c.), the Raval and newer southern districts linking to Sant Sebastià (16th-century chapel) and the station area.
The agrarian setting—fed by groundwater—and the legacy of monastic rights (Sant Pere de Rodes) and Empúries drainage works shape a landscape of farmhouses, plots and traditional paths minutes from the Fluvià, Girona and the inland Costa Brava.
With BARNES Costa Brava, find restored masías, village houses with patios, detached villas and buildable plots in and around Camallera.
